Overview

Freelance project for a roadside assistance company in Houston. I developed the public web application their customers use to understand what services are offered and to request help when a vehicle gives up on them.

The product goal is simple: someone stranded on the road should reach the right service and leave their details in under a minute, from a phone, at any hour.

The problem

When a car breaks down, the driver needs two things immediately: confirm the company covers the case (battery, fuel, lockout, winch-out or full tow), and send a request with enough location detail to be found. A generic contact page loses people at exactly that moment.

What I built

A public site organized around the emergency. The catalog covers all five cases the company handles: towing, battery jump start, fuel delivery, lockout service and winch-out. A multi-step "Request Assistance" form then collects customer, service, vehicle and location. It includes a one-tap shortcut for the device current position, plus preferred contact method and language.

Key features

  • Service catalog covering the five roadside assistance cases the company handles.
  • Guided multi-step assistance request: customer, service required, vehicle, location and issue.
  • Browser geolocation shortcut to capture the current position.
  • Contact method selection (call, email or chat entry points).
  • Mobile-first layout designed to be usable under stress, on the road.

Stack

  • Next.js
